We Give Back

At Koraloha an important part of what we do is to have a positive impact on the planet. Particularly through giving a voice to those that don’t have one. That is why we have made the commitment to donate 5% of every purchase to a number of worthwhile foundations.

We donate 1% to One Tree Planted, 1% to Healthy Seas and 3% to one of the Founders Project, which is close to her heart. The focus of our donations is on foundations that help animals, the ocean and wildlife.

You can find out more about the charities we have been privileged to help so far below:

One Tree Planted

One Tree Planted is a non-profit organisation that operates as an environmentally-focused charity that wants to make it simpler for anyone to help the planet by planting trees. It was founded in 2014 and since then have increased the number of new trees every year and during 2020, they planted 15 million.

Trees play an important role in the natural world as they help to clean our air, filter water we drink and provide homes to more than 80% of our planet’s terrestrial biodiversity. That’s just scratching the surface though, as trees also help us by giving more than 1.6-million people jobs, extract carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and provide the key ingredient in around 25% of all commonly used medication.

At One Tree Planted, we have began working with amazing reforestation partners in Africa, Asia, South and North America who assist us in getting the trees into the ground to restore forests lost by floods and fires, while creating jobs, building communities and protecting the habitat for stronger biodiversity.

Healthy Seas

Healthy Seas is a non-profit organisation established in 2013 with the goal of tackling the phenomenon of ghost fishing nets that are responsible for the unnecessary deaths of a wide variety of marine life and animals. Their work involves clean-up with the help of volunteer divers and stakeholders in the fishing sector with the aim of getting rid of litter, collecting waste nets, and transforming them from waste products into valuable resources.

Since we use ECONYL® regenerated nylon for our beautiful swimwear, it made sense to work with an organisation that is actively involved in the process of saving the world’s oceans from waste.

Bahrain Animal Rescue Center

BARC is an organization close to Andrea's heart. At the end of 2020, she moved to Bahrain for 1.5 years, where she has seen lots of animal cruelty and abandoned pets.

The main role of the Bahrain Animal Rescue Centre is to rescue and rehabilitate abandoned, neglected, and abused animals in Bahrain. Currently, the rescue centre is home to just around 200 cats and more than 400 dogs.

Rescuers need the help of donations so they can pay the vet bills, buy food and medicine and other much needed things.
